Mental Resilience: Tip 3 | Be curious and open to common goals

“Every game is winnable if you change your mind about what the prize should be and your perspective about the players at the table.”  - Shannon L. Alder

Just as a muscle gets stronger by being stressed, organizational and professional growth can improve as a result of negotiations and disagreements.

Reframe these situations as opportunities and to look for common goals.  If there are no immediately available common goals, think about and offer ways that you can help the other person reach their goals.  Extending an hand to the other person in this way can build a foundation for increased collaboration and trust.
